Newport Ventures is a sister company to Newport Partners located in Maryland. As the Maryland business grew, we decided to expand into New York rather than just expanding within Maryland. Venture’s New York location works well both as an independent office, and as an office working in partnership with the Maryland office.

Newport Ventures Supports Foundation Fighting Blindness

Newport Ventures joined Cole Nowak to raise money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB). Eight-year old Cole is bravely battling x-linked retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Even though he has already lost 30 percent of his sight, he has asked that an event be held once a year to raise money for FFB.

The all day family-friendly event featured a golf tournament followed by a good old-fashioned BBQ and music concert. Over the past two years, ColeRPalooza has raised more than $130,000 for critical retinal research. All funds from this event go directly towards an annual FFB “Cole Nowak RP Fighter Research Award.”

Newport would like to thank the more than 400 attendees at this year’s ColeRPalooza. The event was a great success with over 100 golfers participating in the tournament, raising $40,000 for future research. Sam Bowles, pictured here with Cole and his sister Isabel Nowak, represented Newport Ventures in the golf tournament.
